Have you tried all the methods I have described, but you still have not been able to trace the password of your email box? Do not despair. There is a good chance of recovering access to the same anyway. In fact, almost all email service managers have specific procedures to reset and reset a password that they no longer remember.

Where Are Your Outlook Emails

Itsnot uncommon for email to go missing in any email system. Typically, emails gomissing when an email is accidentally deleted. It can also happen if the emailsystem incorrectly flags an incoming message as spam, which would mean themessage never reached your inbox. Less frequently, an email can go missing ifits archived and you dont realize it. Or, if you accidentally file it in thewrong email folder.

To find your Outlook lost emails, let’s examine the question: where does Outlook store emails? InMS Outlook, here are the primary folders where you should look for missingemail messages:

Archive folder. Outlook creates thisfolder the first time that you archive a message. Older messages areautomatically sent to the Archivefolder after a defined period.

Deleted Items folder. This is one ofthe default MS Outlook folders. Its where messages go when you delete them.

Spam folder. The default in Outlook isfor spam messages to go into the Junk Email folder. However, if you’ve got athird-party spam filter add-in, you may also have a Spam folder generated bythe add-in.

The bad news is that finding accounts linked to your phone number is not easy, as there is no database where you could be looking to find them.

Check All Online Accounts With A Username

All of these methods are more or less full proof, but just in case, you can try searching for any remaining accounts with your username. Not just the username you are currently using, but try to remember any old usernames you might have used in the past.

Google them and see what comes up in the results.

For Your Personal Domain

1Visit the website of your webhosting service. If you have your own domain thats hosted by a web hosting provider, visit their website in your browser.

2 The location of your hosting providers incoming mail server can be easily found by searching their support site.

3Search for incoming mail server.XResearch source Find a search result that says something like Setting up your email software and click on it, as it will contain the incoming and outgoing mail server settings.

If you use Hostgator or Bluehost , your incoming mail server is mail.yourdomain.com . The POP3 port is 110 and the IMAP port is 143.

To use Secure POP or IMAP with Hostgator, youll need the name of the server which hosts your site. Log into Hostgator and launch the Cpanel. Find the server name next to Server Name on the left side of the screen. If the server name is gator4054, your secure incoming mail server will be gator4054.hostgator.com. For secure POP, use port 995. Secure IMAP uses port 993.

Bluehost uses mail.yourdomain.com for secure POP and IMAP. For secure POP, use port 995. Secure IMAP uses port 993.

What Is My Protonmail Email Address

To see which email address ProtonMail uses for sending when you start a new message:

Click Compose in the web interface to start a new email.

See your default ProtonMail address in the From line.

Testing Your Incoming Mail Server

How to find all of your Gmail Accounts

1Send yourself a test message. Once youve input the incoming mail server address and port, send a test message to your own email address. If your mail client has a Test Account Settings button , pressing that button will accomplish the same thing as this method.

2Check your email. Wait a few moments after you send yourself the email and then check your messages.

If you are using Gmail to receive POP or IMAP mail from another service, the message will take longer to arrive because Gmail only checks external mail about once per hour. To speed up the process, open your Gmail settings and click on Accounts and Import. Scroll down to the POP3 or IMAP settings and click Check mail now.

If you receive an error when trying to send a message, there may be an issue with your outgoing mail server settings. Verify the SMTP address and port by returning to the location you found the incoming mail server address, and checking it against what youve entered in your email app.

Gmails SMTP address is smtp.gmail.com, port 587 .

Hotmail/Outlooks SMTP address is smtp.live.com, port 25. No separate secure port is provided.

Yahoos SMTP address is smtp.mail.yahoo.com, port 465 or 587 .
