Your Html Emails Dont Follow Best Practices

However, you may want to send HTML emails from your business. That way, you can include some branding elements that make your emails more memorable and helps with engagement.

However, you need to follow some best practices for sending HTML emails, so they dont get marked as spam:
- Use a maximum width of 600-800 pixels
- Keep your HTML code as clean and straightforward as possible
- Keep your image-to-text ratio low
- Optimize your images
- Dont use obscure fonts
- Optimize for mobile

We also use a simple visual cue, the gray box at the bottom, to highlight the You are receiving this email because area.
This makes the email scannable and reminds subscribers about the benefits of being on our email list.
Overview Of The Junk Email Filter
No one likes spam or junk email. The Outlook Junk Email Filter doesnt stop delivery of junk email messages, but does the next best thingit moves suspected spam to the folder.
Tips: It’s a good idea to regularly review messages in the folder to check for legitimate messages that were incorrectly classified as junk. If you find a message that isnt junk, drag it back to the Inbox or any folder. You can also mark the item as not junk by doing the following:

Adding A Sender To Your Contacts
Once you have found the Gmail spam folder location, and performed the appropriate account settings, you are strongly encouraged to add the sender to your list of contacts. Doing so is an important step to reducing the likelihood of subsequent test emails from being sent to the ‘Spam’ folder. Google has acknowledged this as a best practice:
If you find a message wrongly classified as spam, you can unmark the message. Just select the message, and click the Not Spam button that appears at the top and bottom of your current view. Unmarking a message will automatically move it to your inbox.
If you find that some senders’ messages are consistently being mislabeled as spam, you can prevent this by:
- Adding their email addresses to your Contacts list. Gmail will deliver messages from members of your Contacts list to your inbox, unless we know with high confidence that they are spam.
- Some messages sent from contacts which are very clearly spam can be sent directly to your Spam label. More importantly, in some cases messages from contacts will not be sent to Spam but will be marked with a red warning banner if the content is suspicious – for example, your friend’s or contact’s account has been compromised and used to send phishing messages.

It is recommended that you check your Trash and Spam folders for any items that aren’t really Trash or Spam. You can “restore” any messages by moving them back to your Inbox or a label. In Google Mail, messages are permanently deleted 30 days after they are placed in the Trash or Spam.
Google has an automatic filter that automatically marks emails from suspicious senders as spam, sending them to your spam folder. Sometimes this filter will mark non-spam emails as spam, but you can recover the email from spam and change your settings to prevent that sender’s emails from going to spam in the future.
