Set Up An Outlook Account In The Ios Mail App

Setting up work email on iPhones

This article is for setting up your email account only! If you’re having trouble using the Outlook for iOS app, Open an in-app Outlook support ticket.

If you have a work or school account that uses Microsoft 365 for business or Exchange-based accounts, there may be additional requirements set by your IT admin. For example, if you have a company-managed device, an on-premises Exchange server configured for basic authentication, or your company requires mobile app management for app protection. See the section Set up work or school accounts that have additional requirements below for specific instructions.

Note: If you have a work account that requires the Intune Company Portal app, install it from the App Store before setting up Outlook for iOS. Your IT admin may or may not also require you to Enroll your iOS device in Intune.

If it’s your first time using Outlook for iOS, enter your full email address, then tap Add Account.

If not, open the Menu> tap Settings> Add Account> Add Email Account.

If you’re asked to select your email provider, please contact your IT admin for support as there may be a misconfiguration.

You can also set up your email account manually or use IMAP/POP.

Enter your email account password and tap Sign In.

Note: The sign in screen may look different for you depending on your email provider.

Accept any prompts for permission you may receive.

Add New Email Address To Mail App On Iphone

The first step to change Default Email Address on iPhone is to Add your New Email Address to the Mail App on iPhone.

Note: You can skip this step in case the Email Address is already available in the Mail App on your iPhone.

1. Open Settings, scroll down and tap on Passwords & Accounts.

3. On Passwords & Accounts screen, tap on Add Account option located under Accounts section.

4. On Add Account screen, tap on the Email Account Type that you want to Add.

5. On the next screens, enter your Email Address and Password to login to your Email Account.

This will add your Email Address to the Mail App on iPhone, the next step would be to designate this Email Account as the primary or Default Email Address on iPhone.

Add My Workspace Email To Mail On Iphone Or Ipad

Step 4 of the Set up my Workspace Email account series.

Add your Workspace Email account to Mail on your iOS device. Then you can send and receive business emails from your iPhone or iPad.

Open your iPhone or iPad’s Settings.

Tap Mail> Accounts.

Tap Add Account.

Select the Other account type.

Tap Add Mail Account.

Enter your account details, and tap Next.

Tap IMAP.

Under New Account, in the Incoming Mail Server section, enter:

Host name as imap.secureserver.net
Your Workspace Email User Name and Password

In the Outgoing Mail Server section, enter:

Host name as smtpout.secureserver.net
Your Workspace Email User Name and Password

Tap Next. Your Mail app will discover your account settings and load your email.

Exit the Settings app and tap Mail to open the app.

Enter your name, email address, password, and a description for your account.

Tap Next. Mail will try to find the email settings and finish your account setup. If Mail finds your email settings, tap Done to complete your account setup.

1. Tap on Settings.

2. Scroll down to and tap on “Password & Accounts” .

3. Tap on “Add Account.”

4. This will take you to a screen with several of the most popular email applications listed. Tap on outlook.com.

5. A new screen will ask you to type in your Outlook email and password.

6. It will then ask if you want to give the app access to your account. Click “yes” to activate email functionality. This will allow for a seamless integration of calendars and contacts with your Mail app, and also allow you to send and receive emails using your Mail app.

7. You can choose what you wish to share including email, contacts, calendars, reminders, and notes. You can adjust these settings later on, too.

10. Now go back to your home screen and tap on your Mail app. You should see Outlook listed in your mailboxes.

You can only send from an email account that is set up on the device. So if your work email account isn’t set up then it isn’t an option to send from. Once you set it up, when you hit reply/forward in a message, you should see your email address in the ‘cc/Bcc, From’ field. Touch your email address and then you will have the option to change.
