How To Make Your Own Icloud Email

Setting Up A Custom Domain With Icloud Mail

How to Set Up your iCloud Account

With all the caveats out of the way, lets look at the process of setting up your custom domain to work with iCloud Mail:

  • In Safari, visit and enter your login credentials. Note that the iCloud beta works only with the latest versions of Safari, Firefox, Google Chrome, and Microsoft Edge. Annoyingly, that list doesnt include Brave.
  • Scroll down to Custom Email Domain and click Manage.
  • Choose whether you want to use the domain for only a personal address or for your family. Only You is probably the safe choice for now.
  • Enter your domain and click Continue. After doing this, you receive an email to your iCloud address with additional instructions, though the iCloud website will continue guiding you through the process.
  • Enter all the email addresses you want to associate with your domain. You can add more later, but you may miss messages sent to those addresses in the meantime. Click the + icon to add more. Remember, you can add only three email addresses.
  • If you forgot to set up an active email address before starting , you can click Resend Verification Emails on this screen to send them again.

You should see a message on the iCloud website saying your address has been verified. Click OK.

    Safely Remove The Old Account

Before disconnecting your iCloud account, you need to first download some files to local storage. If you have iWork documents stored on the cloud, then visit the iCloud website from a computer and sign in . Visit the “Pages” section, select the documents you wish to save and click the Settings icon, which looks like a small gear. Choose “Download Documents.” Repeat this process with your Keynote and Numbers apps. You don’t need to back up photos, because the iCloud Photo Stream feature just displays the last 30 days of photos stored in your local camera roll.

Remove your old account on iOS devices by returning to the iCloud menu and tapping “Delete Account.” Acknowledge that your documents and photo stream will be removed from the device by pressing “Delete.” When the prompt asks what to do with contacts, calendars, reminders, and Safari information, tap on the “Keep” option. This preserves your data on your local hard drive.

    Deactivating An Email Address

At any time, you can deactivate an email address by following these steps:

  • In the Hide My Email section of the Settings app, tap on the email address you’d like to deactivate.
  • Then, tap Deactivate Email Address.
  • Finally, confirm that you’d like to deactivate it.
  • Image Gallery

The email address remains available for you to reactivate and use at any time. Until you do so, however, you won’t receive any messages sent to it.
