How To Delete Email Accounts
Follow these steps to delete an email address from your CenturyLink account:
1. Log in to your CenturyLink.net homepage.
2. Select the “My CenturyLink” menu in the top navigation and choose the User Settings option.
3. A new browser window will open. Once that page has loaded, you will see a list of all email addresses/account users in the Manage Users section.
4. Locate the email address you want to delete and select the down arrow icon next to that email address.
5. Scroll to the bottom of that email address section and select the Remove User button.
6. You will be prompted to confirm that you want to delete that user. To confirm, select the Delete button. To undo the request, select the Cancel button.
WARNING: Deleting an email address deletes all email, contact lists and personalized settings associated with the address. This information can not be recovered.

However, sometimes you want to delete some or all email addresses from the history list. There are two solutions for you:

If you need to remove just one or several email addresses from the Auto-Complete list in Outlook, please do as follows:
1. Create Home> New Email to create a new email.
2. In the new Message window, please type the first one or several characters of the specified email address in the To/Cc/Bcc field. See screenshot below:
3. Now the email address history list pops out. Please move the mouse over the specified email address you will delete, and then click the Delete button to remove it. See screenshot above.
Now the specified email address is removed from the email address list.
Delete all email addresses from Auto-Complete List
If you need to delete all email addresses from the email address history, you can empty the Auto-Complete List as follows:
1. Click File > Options.
2. In the Outlook Options dialog box, please click Mail in the left bar, and then click the Empty Auto-Complete List button in the Send messages section. See screenshot:
3. In the Microsoft Outlook dialog box, please click the Yes button to go ahead.
4. Click the OK button in the Outlook Options to save the changes.

Remove Obsolete Email Addresses In Mail On Mac
Mail keeps a list of your previous recipients and uses it to suggest or complete addresses for you when you send email. You can delete obsolete or incorrect addresses from the list so Mail stops suggesting them.
In the Mail app on your Mac, choose Window > Previous Recipients.
Find the address you want to delete. You can search for it or sort the list by clicking a column header.
If you want to check the address in the Contacts app, double-click the card icon in front of the address. If a card doesnt exist yet and you want to keep the address in Contacts, select the address, then click Add to Contacts.

How Google Captures Email Addresses
Part of the problem arises because Google, like many email programs, notes whom youve sent an email to. For example, suppose you type in an address in the To: box Gmail stores that info in your Google Contacts. And Google Contacts has 2 contact repositories called Contacts and Other Contacts.
In the example below, Google will automatically add a record for jane.does@example.com to my Contacts once I click the Send button.
If you were to open Google Contacts, you would see Janes new record with the email address and test email.
A similar process happens if I hit Reply to an email or the Gmail shortcut key and send it. Again, Google assumes that I correspond with the sender and automatically adds to my Contacts.
