You can start customizing the pre-installed “Debut” theme or scroll down the page to choose a new theme. There are 3 options:
- Explore free themes
- Browse the Shopify Theme Store
- Upload themes purchased on a third-party marketplace like Theme Forest.
Once you’ve installed your theme, click “Customize,” and Shopify will take you to the page editor.
The menu on the left lets you alter the layout with drag-and-drop modules. And there’s a drop-down menu at the top of the page this allows you to customize different website pages.
You can also access the theme’s settings at the bottom of the left sidebar to customize your store’s colors, fonts, and more.
Plus, if you want to get support or make more advanced changes like editing your site’s code or languages, click “Theme actions” at the bottom of the sidebar.
Adding The Shopify Integration
There are two ways to get started with Klaviyos Shopify integration:
- Add the Shopify integration from the Klaviyo Setup Wizard
- Add the Shopify integration from the Integrations tab in Klaviyo
The following instructions walk through adding the Shopify integration from the Integrations tab in your Klaviyo account.
In Klaviyo, navigate to the Integrations tab and search for Shopify. Then, click Add Integration to view the integration settings page.

Decide Who Should Receive The Newsletter
You will also be able to choose the subscribers who will receive your newsletter. To do that, click the âToâ field and select which segment of your audience this newsletter will go to.
At this point, you can select whether you want to send this email to new or returning customers. However, Shopify Email also allows you to create more sophisticated audience segments based on such attributes as:
- date of the last purchase
- date of becoming a customer
- and other filters
Once you choose the audience, enter the subject line of the newsletter and the preview text. Feel free to use this extensive collection of subject lines as a source of inspiration if you struggle to come up with the right words.
Getting Email Subscribers With A Signup Form

As mentioned above, there are two ways to create a Shopify custom registration form. Each method has its advantages and disadvantages. So for the most comprehensive look, you and I will go through instructions on how to do it both ways.
Way 1: Edit Code

As of May 25, 2021, if someone is added to your newsletter list by clicking the box upon checkout, they will also get queued up for your welcome series flow. You can use flow filters in your welcome series flow to filter out groups of customers that you wish to exclude from this behavior. This is now the default setting for checkouts and can no longer be changed.

12. Paste the Inline Code into the Custom HTML section in Shopify
13. Adjust container width to 100%, click Save, delete other content and delete heading on Shopify
14. Click save and then refresh your page.
15. Your new form will now be live!
** Sometimes the form wont show up when youre on the backend of Shopify making edits. Just make sure you save and refresh and it should be there!
