  • Open Outlook and Go to the File Tab
  • Go to the Info and click on the Add Account button.
  • Choose Manual setup or additional server type and click on the Next button.
  • Choose POP or IMAP and click on the Next button.
  • In User Information, enter your name and email address.
  • In Server Information, select IMAP as the account type, put as the Incoming Mail Server, and as the Outgoing Mail Server .
  • In Logon Information, enter the AOL email address and password and click on the More Settings button.
  • Go to the Outgoing Servers tab and check the checkbox next to My Outgoing Server require authentication.
  • Go to the Advanced tab, enter 993 as the incoming server and select SSL in Use the following type of encrypted connection dropdown.
  • Enter 465 as the Outgoing Server and select SSL in Use the following type of encrypted connection dropdown.
  • Once completed, close the popup menu and click on the Finish button.

    • Microsoft will be removing the ability to connect new accounts to from May 10, 2021.

    • Accounts that were connected before May 10, 2021, will continue to sync as usual.

  • In Outlook, select File> Add Account.
  • Choose Manual setup or additional server types.
  • Select Pop or IMAP.
  • Enter your name as you want it to display to others.
  • Enter your full AT& T email address.
  • Complete the Server Information:

    How to Add an Additional Email Account to Outlook

    Lets say its been a few weeks since you started using Outlook on Android and you need to add a second email account to the App. This section of the guide will get you sorted!

    Microsoft Outlook does a very poor job of handling this and informing you of the problem. Instead, it says that an encrypted connection to your mail server is not available. This just isnt true.

    To get past this error, youll need to generate an app password for Microsoft Outlook. Outlook itself should tell you this, but doesnt.

    To create a special password for Outlook, sign into the Microsoft account page with the email address youre trying to add and click Security & Privacy.

    If two-step verification is enabled, youll see a message saying Your account is protected by two-step verification. If so, click Create a new app password under App passwords.

    If you are unable to add a mailbox, these could be some reasons:

    • The administrator might not have permitted access. If so, contact them for further instructions and assistance.
    • You entered an incorrect name for the mailbox again, contact your administrator.
    • The password has expired. If you have access to Outlook Web Access, try signing in, update your password, and then try signing in again.
    • If you are an Office 365 user, make sure a license is assigned to your account to access the mail server.
