Choose Your Email Host
When you first get started with your business, you’re going to purchase a domain and hosting site.
One way to create a business email address is to look for the hosting package that includes business email. It’s usually an additional cost, but many users choose to set up their business email this way because of the ease.
If you choose this way of creating a business email, you’ll need to go to your hosting site and set up your email. Usually this means going to the “Email” section of your hosting site and choosing an email .
However, another way to set up email is to go through G-Suite instead of your hosting platform . Google will walk you through this process, so it’s usually as simple as 1, 2, 3.
Email Accounts Addresses And Mailboxes
Many people that are new to email seem to have difficulty understanding the difference between email accounts, mailboxes, and email addresses.
Here is a quick Diagram that shows how they are related.
An email account is a username/password combination that gives you access to a mailbox where your email is stored.
How To Sign Up For An Email Hosting Service
Chances are that your domain provider will also offer email hosting services, but you do have the option to connect your domain elsewhere. Make sure that whoever you choose offers fair pricing, strong security and plenty of storage. Your email host will handle the backend for your email address, meaning that it will communicate with the rest of the Internet to send and receive your emails, as well as store your incoming emails and files.
You have two options available when creating custom email addresses: forwards and mailboxes. The forward option will forward any incoming emails that are sent to your custom address to another specified email address you own, but will not let you send emails from your custom address. A mailbox, on the other hand, will let you send and receive emails from your domain email address.

How To Style Your Email Html
Styling is cool, but its difficult.
Whatever styling you are going to implement in your email such as text formatting, image size, media queries go between the < style> tags as different classes. The basic format for adding < style> tag is < style type=text/css> where in text/css specifies the media type as CSS. Placement of the < style> tag is tricky as 6 out of 36 email clients do not support < style> tag in < head> and Gmail doesnt support it in the email body.
In case you need to add a centralized formatting condition for any text, you can specify the attributes in the specific class.
e.g. in order to disable text decoration in hyperlinks, add
In case you are coding a responsive email template, the media queries need to be added in the following format.
For example, consider the following media query in the email HTML code:
When the email is viewed in a device that is between the screen width of 481 and 699px:
- The width of the email is forced to be 100% owing to width: 100% !important attribute.
- The section that is associated with em.hide class shall be hidden due to display:none !important attribute
- The section that is associated with em.h20 class will have the fixed height of 20px due to height: 20px !important attribute
- Any element associated with class em_padd will have a fixed padding of 20px and 10px .
P.S: !important forces the rendering engine to not make any alterations to the media query.

E-mail is old and complex. It’s the oldest still-recognizable component of the Internet, with its modern incarnation having coalesced out of several different decades-old messaging technologies including ARPANET node-to-node messaging in the early 1970s. And though it remains a cornerstone of the Internetthe original killer app, reallyit’s also extraordinarily hard to do right.
We most often interact with e-mail servers through friendly Web-based front-ends or applications, but a tremendous amount of work goes into hiding the complexity that allows the whole system to work. E-mail functions in a poisoned and hostile environment, flooded by viruses and spam. The seemingly simple exchange of text-based messages operates under complex rules with complex tools, all necessary to keep the poison out and the system functioning and useful in spite of the abuse it’s constantly under.
From a normal person’s perspective, e-mail seems like a solved problem: sign up for Internet access and your ISP gives you an e-mail address. Google, Apple, Yahoo, or any number of other free e-mail providers will hook you up with e-mail accounts with gigabytes of space and plenty of cool value-added features. Why do battle with arcane dragons to roll your own e-mail solution?
I’ll tell you why: because if it’s in the cloud, it’s not yours.
Well, to hell with that. It’s your e-mail. And we’re going to take it back.

Its creators say you can set up the Helm-based system in just a few minutes, personalized domain name and all. You still keep the physical server in your home, but it comes with on-board software that will take care of most of your email management: protection, encryption, and letting you access your messages from any device.
