How to send large files by email – using WeTransfer

I’m trying to send an email with an attachment that are larger than 10 MB and smaller than the limit of 25 MB in total. The reason I mention 10 MB is because it seems to be the lower bound for when the normal way of attaching files stops working and you get Error 10053.

I’ve read in the documentation that the best way to do this would be by using the resumable upload method but I haven’t been able to get it to work nor have I been able to find any good examples in Python. Why Pdf Is Too Large

There are different reasons leading to a large PDF, but generally speaking, they can be summarized as following 3 types.

    1. The PDF is scanned

Many scanned files are saved as PDF. And as we know, the scanned files are multi-pages images with a relatively higher DPI. Most of the scanners scan files at 300 DPI, while the recommended web-friendly image should be at a DPI of 72. This is just the reason why a scanned PDF is so big in size. To make the scanned PDF smaller, you need to adjust the scanning parameters with a lower DPI.

    2. Too many images in the PDF

A PDF file is an excellent carrier to bring various elements together on the same page, such as formatted texts, table, links, diagrams, video, signature and images. Speaking of image, it is always an indispensable element in a PDF file, but we know, images take space. The more images in a PDF file, the larger the PDF size it will be. Even, colorful images make the PDF file even bigger. In this case, you can make the image to be black and white before importing to a PDF file.

    3. Hundreds-of-pages PDF

Due to its high security, PDF is widely used in formal and important occasions, such as drafting a commercial contact, agreement, or writing a book and save as PDF. In this case, a PDF file can never be small, since there are always numerous pages included in this file.
