How To Create An App
Take note of the password that has been generated. You’ll need it to set up your iCloud email on your Android phone.
Syncing Apple Reminders On Android
Use Apple’s Reminders app to keep track of your tasks? If you’re using CalDAV-Sync or SmoothSync, you can sync them to your Android phone easily by downloading OpenTasks from the same developer.
Because CalDAV provides support for task sync, OpenTasks simply piggybacks on the CalDAV connection set up by the other app to get your reminders. However, OpenTasks is simple. It doesn’t provide a lot of extra functionality, giving it a similar feel to the Reminders app on your Mac, iPad, or iPhone.
If you’re not planning on using CalDAV-Sync or SmoothSync, you’re unfortunately out of luck. An app that once offered this is no longer available. We recommend switching to another to-do app that syncs across all platforms.

Things To Know Before You Move Your Email Address
You can now test custom domain support on the iCloud beta site. However, there are important caveats:
I personally dont depend on iCloud Mail for anything other than testing. The lack of custom domain support was one reason, but I dont see myself switching even now. iCloud Mail lacks many of the advanced options of other email providers and has been known to silently filter messages, with no way to recover the messages or even know they were sent.
However, there are some good reasons to use iCloud Mail, especially if youve bought into the Apple ecosystem:
- Easy integration and fast device setup. All you have to do is log in to your iCloud account to send and receive email.
- Push notifications for email messages that notify you immediately when you receive a message.
- Economical use of paid iCloud storage space.
